Agricultural Education Instructor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Agricultural Education Instructor to join our team at Elk City High School. This full-time position involves teaching students about agricultural science, technology, and practices, while fostering a love for agriculture and its importance in society.

• Develop and implement a comprehensive agricultural education curriculum that aligns with state standards and meets the diverse needs of students.
• Facilitate hands‑on learning experiences through laboratory work, field trips, and community projects.
• Advise and mentor students in FFA (Future Farmers of America) activities, competitions, and leadership development.
• Collaborate with other educators and community members.
• Maintain a safe and organized learning environment, including the management of agricultural facilities and equipment.
• Engage with parents and the community.

• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Agricultural Education or eligibility for certification.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, technologies, and current industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and the community.
• Strong organizational skills.
