Senior Buyer

The Purchasing Manager supervises sourcing and purchasing of essential materials, including searching raw material suppliers, comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements, and developing inventory controls to meet demand for new materials.

• Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise staff, and allocate tasks
• Manage the purchasing process including buying, selling and distribution activities
• Review new project proposals for the company
• Develop and enforce procurement rules and regulations
• Establish guidelines for price quotes, bidding, and vendor selection
• Buy goods and services for the company
• Handle contract negotiations with vendors and suppliers
• Identify ideal suppliers based on quality, cost and reliability
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• Prior experience in purchasing within the same industry required
• Strong understanding of market conditions and trends
• Exceptional interpersonal and social skills to build rapport
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Strong contract negotiation skills with exceptional business ethics
• Bilingual Chinese Mandarin preferred

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field required
• At least 5 years of purchasing experience in a professional office environment preferred

• Office and warehouse environment
• Occasional periods of standing or sitting for extended periods
• Required wearing of appropriate PPE
• Exposure to hot/cold weather and loud noises in a warehouse environment
• Frequent computer and telephone use
• Frequent communication with people throughout the day
