Our client is an established engineering consulting firm located in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. They specialize in building systems design and offer a collaborative environment with strong long term growth potential for motivated design professionals.

Our client is currently seeking a CAD Operator / MEP Drafter Designer to join their team in their Elk Grove Village office. This role is ideal for someone with a strong AutoCAD background and a passion for designing building systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical.

• Create AutoCAD construction drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems from red lined mark ups and verbal direction
• Work closely with engineers and other designers to develop complete construction documents
• Support multiple projects across various commercial building types
• Maintain drawing accuracy and adhere to project standards and deadlines

• 3 to 5 years of experience producing AutoCAD drawings for HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems
• Experience with building systems design for commercial projects
• Formal AutoCAD training required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Revit MEP experience is a plus

• Stable, well established engineering firm
