Compensation: $100,000 – $130,000 annually + bonus

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our small but dynamic service organization. This is a stand-alone leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys owning the full spectrum of accounting operations. The Controller will oversee all aspects of financial management, including general accounting, transactional processes, payroll, and audit coordination
, while playing a key role in implementing a new accounting system to support future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, and month-end close.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Lead audit preparation and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
• Implement and optimize a new accounting system to improve efficiency and reporting.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
• Provide strategic financial insights to leadership to support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and audit processes.
• Proven ability to work independently in a stand-alone role.
• Experience with system implementation and process improvement.
• Sage ERP+
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
