Join Gulf Coast Hotel Management, Inc. as a Task Force Manager. This role requires strong leadership, problem‑solving, and the ability to travel extensively across the Chicago area to support hotel properties and staff.

The Task Force/Traveling General Manager assumes acting or interim general‑manager responsibilities when a property’s leadership is vacant or requires additional support. The manager works to achieve operational excellence, maintain compliance with company and franchise standards, drive revenue and profitability, and build high‑performing teams.

• Act as General Manager during vacancy periods or as directed by senior management.
• Lead hotels and projects, projecting a professional and ethical image in all aspects of work.
• Implement and maintain company brand standards and expectations.
• Oversee labor management, scheduling, payroll, and accounting functions.
• Execute revenue management and pricing strategies.
• Handle guest and associate issues in partnership with HR and senior leadership.
• Operate local sales and marketing efforts to drive revenue and guest experience.
• Order and receive operating supplies and manage accounts receivable.
• Ensure emergency, security, and life‑safety procedures are in place.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and updates to senior management regularly.
• Develop managers and associates professionally.
• Perform hands‑on, on‑site involvement in daily operations.
• Complete any other duties as assigned.

• Minimum five years of related experience or training; valid driver’s license.
• Strong ownership mindset, high sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of hotel management, business principles, and general operations.
• Understanding of safety management principles including OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Self‑starter able to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage and resolve difficult guest and associate situations.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, property management systems, and reservation platforms.
• Willingness to work outside of regular business hours and accommodate travel demands.

• Extensive travel, potentially up to 90% of the time, including frequent unaccompanied trips.
• Flexible schedule and ability to adjust deployment quickly.
• Most lodging will be booked in company hotels; expenses reimbursed per company policy.
• Balance of time home base and travel managed on a case‑by‑case basis.
