The scope of duties includes one who assumes complete set‑up and operating responsibilities. Requires assistance of an Impactor Operator Assistant or helper to perform tasks such as die changing, material handling, etc. Backed up, on call, by competent maintenance personnel is essential to assure operations, will be available.

• Obtain bundle of steel from storage with overhead crane.
• Set‑up automatic forging system to proper product specification.
• Insure proper operation of various system components.
• Perform routine pre‑operation preventative maintenance and safety inspections in accordance with the checklist.
• Maintain the daily inspection and operating log sheets as instructed.
• Keep the equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Assist maintenance personnel with disassembly, maintenance repair and re‑assembly operations as directed.
• Train new employees as required.
• Operate forklift as required.
• Perform other duties as required by supervision.

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including fractions, decimals and percentages.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use vernier calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions or procedures.
• Exercise and make decisions as might be required in performance of the job.
• Knowledge of English Language.

This role has an hourly salary range of $27 - $36 per hour.
