Responsibilities- Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated secure locations.
- Prepares and maintains records of materials received/shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other information.
- Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy, and verifies accompanying documents.
- Confirms shipping details or special instructions and expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
- Transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods using a forklift, electronic pallet jack, hand pallet jack, or by hand.
- Resolve internal material handling issues or make corrections as needed.
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap, bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Remains on a forklift for prolonged periods and standing while sorting.
- Pulls up to 55 pounds at a time.
- Wears safety gear such as goggles and gloves when handling box cutters or similar tools.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 5 years of experience driving a forklift.
- Certified forklift driver.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Good math and written communication skills.
- Proficient on a computer and able to learn proprietary software.
- Efficient time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
- At least five years of related experience required.
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
