Jr. Process Technician

To support the Process Technicians in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of blow molding, injection, and extrusion machines, while learning process parameters and assisting in changeovers and setups.

• Assist in the operation of blow molding, injection molding, extrusion machines, including adjustment of parameters under the supervision of the Lead Process Technician.
• Fill out process parameter sheets and develop an understanding of each parameter and its function.
• Assist with changeovers with the changeover team, press start-ups, perform mold insert changes and clean mold heads.
• Respond to machine downtime and quality issues in coordination with the Lead Tech.
• Understand blender settings and assist with material and color changes.
• Collaborate with material handlers to understand material flow and logistics.
• Reference and understand manufacturing specification sheets, including cycle time, weight, material percentage, and quality standards.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness in assigned work areas and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of manufacturing or plastics industry experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn the process of troubleshooting and machine operations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, take direction, and grow into more technical responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete documentation accurately.
• Basic understanding of math and the ability to use a computer for documentation.
• Reliable and available to work overtime.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

• Ability to spend 90% of the workday walking or standing.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move heavy items with the use of a crane or forklift and able to climb and move around machinery.

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to work in a high noise level facility.
