We are hiring immediately for full time and part time COOK positions at Ascension Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village, IL.

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature, attractive and tasty.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety: cleans work areas, stores or discards excess food, and ensures proper handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neatly stored; ensures food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning, records, and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required; reports maintenance needs or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs duties safely and in accordance with HACCP standards; adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.

• 3 years of previous culinary experience is preferred.
• Ability to comply with required safety and sanitation standards.

• Schedule:
  
  Full time and part time; 11:00 am to 8:00 pm; days may vary; alternating weekends and some holidays.
