• Meet the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by the manager.
• Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients in the area and any of the regions covered by Yamasho, Inc.
• Identify and locate new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
• Conduct market research, develop and implement strategies for sales in the assigned region.
• Visit customers and potential customers to provide support, information, and sell the company’s products.
• Coordinate with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely manner.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building rapport, resolving issues in a timely manner and escalating to management as needed.
• Collaborate with purchasing departments, warehouse, and other involved parties to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
• Coordinate urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs.
• Educate customers on how the products or services can benefit them.
• Input and update orders within the company database in a timely manner.
• Maintain and safely navigate the company vehicle as per the company vehicle policy.
• Troubleshoot problems regarding products provided and handle complaints.
• Participate in the weekly sales meetings.
• Attend semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend.
• Attend company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Able to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.
• Able to travel within or outside of Illinois as needed.
• Able to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to use the phone for extended periods of time.

• Noise level:
  Normal to loud while in the office.

• Business level English is required.
• Business level Mandarin is required.
• Business level Cantonese is plus.
• Maintains a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Maintains a positive attitude.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and after-hours as needed for company and department-related events.
• Able to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload.
• High school diploma required; AA and above strongly preferred.
• Experience in food industry, preferably in Japanese food industry is plus.
• Experience in Japanese restaurant business is a plus.

• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Possesses basic mathematical knowledge such as markups, discounts, counting inventory, weight and measurement conversions, combining, etc.
• Has strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially Microsoft NAV, highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Japanese foods and liquors strongly preferred.
