Job DescriptionThe Auto Body Technician’s primary responsibility is to provide an exceptional and successful customer experience through meticulous assessment and quality repair of each customer’s vehicle, restoring it to pre‑accident condition. The technician disassembles, repairs, and reassembles vehicles, contributing to our company’s promise of speed, quality, and customer excellence. The role supports all team members in achieving repair facility KPIs and serves as a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers.
- Address dents, dimples, and minor damage using filler resins; realign chassis and frames for structural repairs.
- Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts, including glass and windshields.
- Reinstall or repair interior components.
- Weld, attach, and fit parts, then prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified or equivalent paint.
- Complete work orders within labor time guidelines, inspecting vehicles after repair to confirm quality.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
- Read job orders with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with other repairers.
- Understand auto body repair methods and procedures.
- Proficient in using required tools.
- Work safely in a noisy, odor‑laden area.
- Lift up to 30 pounds.
- Visually inspect vehicle damage in varied weather conditions.
- Perform bending, stretching, kneeling, and squatting as needed.

CompensationEstimated salary range: $65,000 – $150,000 +, with weekly pay. Signing bonus available based on experience.
