The Assistant Dean of Accreditation and Assessment - Medical School is a full-time, on-site position located in Elk Grove, CA. This role oversees accreditation processes for the College of Medicine, ensuring compliance with LCME and other regulatory standards, and coordinates continuous quality improvement initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and managing assessment plans, analyzing program and learner outcomes data, preparing accreditation reports and documentation, and supporting site visit logistics.

The Assistant Dean collaborates closely with faculty, staff, and leadership to align curricula, policies, and procedures with accreditation requirements and best practices in medical education. The position also involves guiding training on assessment methods, maintaining accurate records, and communicating accreditation-related updates to stakeholders across the college.

• Demonstrated expertise in academic accreditation, assessment, or institutional effectiveness within medical or health professions education.
• Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and use of educational metrics to inform decision-making and continuous quality improvement.
• Experience collaborating with faculty and academic leaders on curriculum evaluation, program review, and evidence-based educational initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear accreditation reports, policies, and guidance documents.
• High level of organization and project management skills to coordinate timelines, documentation, and site visit preparations.
• Proficiency with relevant software and systems (e.g., data management tools, assessment platforms, learning management systems).
• Advanced degree in education, public health, healthcare administration, or a related field; terminal degree (e.g., MD, PhD, EdD) preferred.
• Knowledge of LCME standards and regulatory requirements for medical schools, or similar accrediting bodies in health professions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment and to support a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and integrity.
• Prior experience in medical school administration or health sciences education is highly desirable.
