TITLE: BRANCH LEAD
DEPARTMENT: ELK GROVE BRANCH
REPORTS TO: BRANCH MANAGER
PAY SCALE: $23.00 - $29.00 HOUR
Sacramento Credit Union is seeking candidates who thrive as leaders and excel at providing exceptional customer service for our Branch Lead position at our Elk Grove branch. The Branch Lead is an extension of the branch leadership team and can run the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager and assists with coaching branch staff to meet or exceed all sales and service objectives.
This position requires knowledge of credit union/bank operations, regulations and lending practices and the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally and is responsible for providing functional guidance and work direction to Financial Service Specialists. Under limited supervision, performs audits and ensures efficiency of routine service operations and provides assistance with more complex issues.
The Branch Lead has a fixed schedule so it’s perfect for individuals wanting a work/life balance. As a full-time employee they are eligible to participate in our robust benefits package. The 37/40-hour work schedule for this branch is as follows:
Schedule- Monday: 8:45 am to 5:45 pm
- Tuesday: 8:45 am to 5:45 pm (Alternating Tuesday OFF to work Saturday)
- Wednesday: 8:45 am to 5:45 pm
- Thursday: 8:45 am to 5:45 pm
- Friday: 8:45 am to 5:45 pm or 9:15 am - 6:15 pm
- Saturday: 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (Alternating Saturday OFF to work Tuesday)
- Proficiently performs all duties of a Financial Service Specialist I, II and III with minimal direction from management.
- Can independently run the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager and/or Assistant Branch Manager.
- Effectively addresses member escalation and is able to resolve member concerns.
- Performs operational tasks such as auditing, balancing, and adding cash to the ATM and TCRs.
- Work with branch management team to ensure monthly and quarterly audits are completed, all branch work is QC'd daily, and new account and loan records are QC'd within established timelines.
- Demonstrates problem solving skills and is able to utilize resources to find solutions to meet members’ needs.
- Assist with coaching, training, developing and motivating FSSs by demonstrating ability to cross-sell credit union products and services.
- Assists with training branch staff in loan and deposit products and services.
- Take initiatives to participate in leadership development opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge and adhere to all SCU's policies and procedures, rules and regulations, including robbery, Bank Secrecy Act and Money Laundering policies and procedures.
- Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all members and co-workers.
- Assist at other branches, as needed.
- Participate in external marketing events to gain new relationships and grow market share.
- Provide notary services and medallion stamp services.
- Performs other related duties.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Five to seven years of advanced experience in branch operations in a credit union or bank.
- Working knowledge of financial services products and basic lending practice is desired.
- Demonstrated sales ability in either a financial institution or retail store is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated computer skills and familiarity with software programs such as Word, Excel, Meridian Link Loans PQ and Lending Pad.
- Demonstrated inter‑personal communication and member contact skills, by email and telephone.
- Keyboarding, up to 80% of the time.
- Prolonged sitting or standing throughout the workday.
- View computer screen, up to 90% of the time.
- Use of telephone, up to 50% of the time.
- Bend/stoop to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 5% of the time.
