Senior Business Banker (Sr. BB)

The Senior Business Banker (Sr. BB) is responsible for managing and retaining existing Citibank’s business relationships greater than $1MM, as well as supporting credit originations above $250K. The Senior Business Banker helps customers with Deposits, Cash Management, Credit, and day‑to‑day needs. As a role model for the assigned Market, the Senior Business Banker delivers assistance, builds knowledge for more complex deals, and focuses on credit real‑estate lending.

• Develop consistent sales cadence and interactive management of the existing portfolio clients with a focus on retention, credit quality and growth.
• Conduct annual review process, performing site visits, collecting financial documents, and collaborating with the Credit Risk department for assigned relationships.
• Enhance the overall effectiveness, productivity, and contribution of our bankers within the assigned Market through partnership development and leadership engagement.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert and support resource for complex credit inquiries in the assigned market.
• Achieve desired sales production and business scorecard metrics.
• Use sound judgment in qualifying potential customers/deals and recommending the right financial solutions/products for the customer.
• Develop credit structure and full credit packages where the total credit exposure is greater than $250MM.
• Analyze market trends and market size by integrating analytical skills and knowledge of data‑analysis tools and methodologies.
• Maintain knowledge of industry and competitive landscape, providing timely insights and advice to uncover and enhance business opportunities.
• Ensure all KYC, AML, and other compliance norms are strictly adhered to.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citigroup, clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, policies, and ethical judgment, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

• 6‑10 years banking experience, preferably 5+ years in Business Banking.
• Business and/or Commercial Credit training preferred.
• Exceptional consulting skills; ability to probe, listen, clarify and present information to advance sales transactions and deepen relationships.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to assimilate complex financial and company operating information.
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (Registry) and obtain a unique identifier, keeping it renewed annually and updating the registration as required by the SAFE Act and Citi policies.

• Bachelor’s/University degree;
  Master’s degree preferred.
