System Engineer

Mobile Device Management (MDM) plays a critical role in keeping devices secure and is an essential tool that helps us deliver a user experience that meets the high expectations of our company's employees. Our goal is to make the technology invisible so that everyone can focus on doing the work they love to do at the best of their ability.

In this role, you will contribute to delivering an exceptional device management experience for our rapidly growing user base while developing practical skills in Jamf Pro administration and MDM workflows. We handle very large numbers of devices (macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS) and support a wide variety of business units with unique needs that MDM can solve.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of platforms (macOS and iOS in particular)
• Exposure to supporting and analyzing software issues
• Basic Familiarity with MDM and Systems Configuration

• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., bash, zsh)
• Basic knowledge of linux/unix systems
• Exposure to Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools and concepts
• Experience using Jamf Pro or other MDM platforms
• Experience using Chorus, Quip, and Numbers or Excel

The work may include but is not limited to:

• Learn and understand the Jamf Pro platform and MDM onboarding processes
• Help the team onboard worldwide users and devices to our MDM solutions
• Analyze and resolve production issues under guidance from senior engineers
• Document various communications to be sent to business units or end users
• Document scenarios and procedures for support teams
• Develop and update various technical documents
• Test new features before they are released to end users
• Assist with scripting and automation projects
• Research and suggest improvements to current processes

We are looking for a candidate who is self-driven, eager to learn, and can work collaboratively with teams of developers, engineering project managers, and test engineers who take pride in building client and server solutions.
