Information Technology Supervisor II
Effective July 1, 2025 in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented in response to the status of the State budget. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 01, and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 30, 2027.
Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. CCHCS seeks to fill a Limited Term / Full Time Information Technology Supervisor II position in the Information Security Office. This position is in the Information Technology Services Division, which deploys the information technology infrastructure and clinical information technology systems that enable the Department's clinical staff to provide a constitutional level of access to care for our patients.
Information technology support ensures California Correctional Health Care Services operates seamlessly, delivering consistent, cost-effective, reliable, accessible and secure services that support clinical and administrative programs; customers, including the patients, and business communities. Under the general direction of the Chief Information Security Officer / Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Supervisor II serves as the Disaster Recovery, Event and Incident Report Supervisor and has significant responsibility for providing direction and oversight related to the Information Security Office.
The supervisor is responsible for the indirect management and oversight of the Department's information security program ensuring protection of California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) information assets and compliance with State information security policies, standards, and procedures. The supervisor has authority for formulating, recommending, and implementing information security policies, principles, and guidelines that help to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, reliability, and appropriate use of the Department's information assets in coordination with team members from the Office of Information Security and the Chief Information Security Officer.
The incumbent must maintain confidentiality of information acquired while performing job duties, demonstrate ethical behavior and work cooperatively with others. Travel to institutions and after-hours support may be required due to operational needs.
