Job description and duties
Effective july 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable memorandum of understanding, the personal leave program 2025 (plp 2025) was implemented. Plp 2025 requires each full-time employee in bargaining unit 17, and related excluded, exempt and statutory exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 hours of plp 2025 leave credits monthly through june 2027.
Salaries do not reflect the recent changes. Part-time employees are subject to the same conditions as full-time employees, on a prorated basis equivalent to their time-base. Permanent intermittent employees are subject to the same condition as full-time employees, based on the number of hours worked in the pay period.
Under the direct supervision of the director, health care services, the statewide receiver's nurse executive oversees a comprehensive 24/7 accountability for the operations and delivery of all patient care services throughout all cdcr adult institutions. Facilitates statewide nursing clinical practices and operations to support compassionate, safe, effective, timely, efficient, and equitable patient-centered care across multiple disciplines in coordination with the custody leadership team.
Responsible for developing and maintaining an on-going program to deliver, monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and appropriateness of all nursing care.
Candidate may be eligible for relocation reimbursement if they meet the criteria requirements.

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the statewide telework policy and will be required to report to the office 4 days per week and telework 1 day per week. The successful candidate must reside in california upon appointment.
