• Maintain an assigned store section, order, receive, and stock merchandise; ensure proper pricing, check product date codes, rotate inventory, stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays and refrigerated/frozen cases; prepare perishable products; set up advertising and promotional displays; review invoices/bills for accuracy.
• Clean and maintain internal and external areas of the store and parking lot according to sanitation standards.
• Operate a cash register, receive payments, make change, and process check/charge/debit transactions; process cash and credit refunds as approved by management; verify customer eligibility for alcoholic beverages.
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous assistance to customers by giving current store and product information; assist customers with loading purchases into their vehicles when requested.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties and record lost or damaged goods and store supplies with appropriate tools.

• Read and write English, interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra).
