Salary Range: $48,000.00 To $72,000.00 Annually

Nor Cal Automotive Group is looking for an Outside Parts Sales Representative to help grow the wholesale parts business. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in wholesale parts operations and or dealership parts departments and strong communication skills.

Job Description

Outside Parts Sales Representatives help dealerships grow wholesale parts business by building relationships with repair shops, collision centers, fleet operations, and independent automotive service facilities. This position plays an important role inside dealership fixed operations by helping increase parts sales, improve customer retention, and support long-term commercial account growth.

• Visits assigned customers.
• Prospects for new customers.
• Communicates parts orders to counter people. Advises whether status is stock or emergency.
• Checks with customers to ensure that delivery date of non-stock items is acceptable before ordering.
• Reviews any special orders with the parts manager and obtains his/her approval.
• Obtains parts manager's approval for any special pricing.
• Advises counterperson on delivery instructions.
• Follows up on parts orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
• Coordinates service sales with service salespeople.
• Turns in completed call reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Updates customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses etc.
• Adds new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Attend training seminars when possible.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the dealership.
