Delivery ExpertJob Requirements and Duties
Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards. Must have access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery, be insured under the vehicle’s insurance policy, and have the vehicle registered in the United States. Must be able to navigate adverse terrain, read maps, and locate addresses within the designated delivery area, including multi‑story buildings and private homes.
Must possess customer service skills and be able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers during in‑person and phone orders. Must assist with inside tasks periodically such as food preparation, cleaning, inventory, and equipment maintenance as directed.
$20.00 per hour, plus tips and mileage.
GeneralJob Duties for All Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and coworkers over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (calculator allowed).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Strong verbal, written, and telephone order processing skills.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for precise, rapid movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Navigate adverse terrain while carrying product.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions during outside tasks.
- In‑store temperature ranges from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas.
- Sudden temperature changes in work area and while outside.
- Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, and cramped quarters (walk‑in cooler).
- Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Standing – most tasks performed from standing position.
- Walking – short distances for short durations; surfaces may include ceramic tile, linoleum.
- Sitting – paperwork completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting – bulk deliveries up to 50 lb; items stacked up to 72 in. high.
- Carrying – items up to 30 lb; trays of dough approx. 12 lb per tray.
- Pushing – moving trays on dollies up to 24–30 in.; force up to 7.5 lb.
- Climbing – infrequently navigate stairs or ladders.
- Stooping/Bending – forward bending at waist, 30–45 s at a time, repeated continuously.
- Crouching/Squatting – when stocking shelves and cleaning low areas.
- Reaching – above 72 in. occasionally; downwards tasks such as scooping cornmeal.
- Hand Tasks – eye‑hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands, forearms, wrists.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Have valid driver’s license in the U.S. for at least 2 years.
- Provide documentation of 2 years of licensed driving history.
- Uninterrupted driving history of at least 1.5 years during last 2 years.
- No more than 1 violation and 1 at‑fault accident within last 2 years.
- No more than 2 violations and 1 at‑fault accident within last 3 years.
- No more than 3 violations within last 3 years.
- Seatbelt and inoperable brake light citations do not count as violations.
- No serious/major violations in the last 5 years.
- Periodic delivery vehicle inspection compliant with franchise and corporate standards.
