Position: Warehouse Clerk, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm- $21.12/hr.

Role Overview

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for transferring inventory, assisting customers at the will‑call window, answering telephone calls, entering data, performing clerical duties, processing bills of lading, providing forklift drivers with necessary information for product movement, managing order processing and inventory control, and monitoring daily quality assurance inventory.

Responsibilities
  • Transfer inventory and manage the movement of products between warehouse and plant.
  • Assist customers at the will‑call window and direct drivers to appropriate pickup or delivery locations.
  • Answer telephone calls and set appointments for deliveries.
  • Enter data and perform clerical duties, including logging receipts, verifying product codes, dates, and numbers in the SAP system.
  • Process and prepare bills of lading for customer shipments and prepare handbills for outbound shipments.
  • Ensure product availability based on inventory levels prior to allocation.
  • Investigate and correct inventory errors, notify supervisors of discrepancies.
  • Provide necessary information to forklift drivers and assist in product movement.
  • Order processing and inventory control, monitoring and verifying quality assurance hold inventory daily.
  • Ensure daily adherence to GMP, PPE, SOP, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain the integrity and certification of the food safety and quality system; report and take action to prevent food safety and quality issues.
  • Evaluate hazards and verify procedures to achieve a safe work environment; promptly report identified hazards.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Minimum

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of related experience preferred.
  • Forklift certified or receive company‑provided forklift certification within 90 days.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios, percentages; draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Reasoning: apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions and solve problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to train others.
  • Read work documents in English.
  • Good understanding of plant quality requirements and GMPs.
  • Good attendance and work history.
  • Strong team mentality.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Daily exposure to dust, fumes, odors, darkness, poor lighting, noise, and vibration.
  • Seasonal exposure to extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.
  • Exposure to mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, and communicable diseases.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds, utilize fine dexterity, reach, kneel, crawl, and twist.
  • Ability to see, hear, and communicate professionally with associates and others.
  • Personal protective equipment (bump caps, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, ear plugs, lockout devices, fall protection) will be provided.
  • Frequent exposure to time pressures, changing tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, tedious and exacting work, irregular schedule and/or overtime, noisy and distracting environment, emergency situations.
