This role requires strong project management skills, hands-on knowledge of earthwork operations, and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, ontime, and onbudget projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, execution, and closeout of earthwork and site development projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are met.

  • Coordinate with estimating, design, permitting, subcontractors, and clients to ensure constructability and alignment of project objectives.
  • Oversee site operations including grading, excavation, compaction, and utilities installation; ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors and direct labor, including contract administration, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks; implement corrective actions and document changes.
  • Prepare and present project reports, progress updates, and change order documentation to stakeholders and clients.
  • Enforce safety and environmental compliance; lead toolbox talks, site safety meetings, and enforce company safety policies.
  • Utilize earthwork modeling and production tools (e.g., AGTEK) to optimize quantities, haul routes, and production rates where applicable.
  • Support project bidding and preconstruction activities by providing input on scheduling, means and methods, and site logistics.
Qualifications
  • Required:

Minimum 5 years of direct experience managing earthwork, grading, and excavation projects or equivalent heavy civil/site development experience.
  • Required:

Demonstrated project management experience with responsibility for schedule, budget, and team coordination.
  • Experience with earthwork production and takeoff tools (AGTEK preferred) and familiarity with grading and site modeling techniques (preferred).
  • Knowledge of utilities installation, site work sequencing, and heavy civil construction practices.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and reporting tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices (OSHA 10/30 preferred) and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Education:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Nice to have:
