Reading Interventionist​/Instructional Assistant

Spectrum is a college prep public school of approximately 1,000 students, located in Elk River, MN, serving grades 5-12 since 2006.

Spectrum is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Reading Interventionist to join our academic support team. This position plays an essential role in helping students achieve success in reading by implementing screening assessments, targeted interventions, and monitoring progress toward learning goals. Working under the direction of the Instructional Program Manager, the Interventionist facilitates screening assessments and provides small-group and individual instructional support to students identified for tiered interventions.

• Facilitate assessment and deliver small-group and one-on-one instruction in reading following established intervention plans
• Implement evidence-based intervention programs with fidelity
• Collect and record progress monitoring data and assist in evaluating student growth
• Collaborate with the Instructional Program Manager and classroom teachers to support student learning
• Prepare materials and resources needed for intervention sessions
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
• Participate in training related to intervention strategies and progress monitoring tools
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

• Associate's Degree (AA) required;
  Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting preferred
• Knowledge of basic reading and math instructional strategies
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Dependable, flexible, and committed to student success
