Overview
Teachers For Tomorrow is the Twin Cities' premier early childhood substitute placement company. And early childhood is all we do. We are hiring Substitute Teachers at all qualification levels, Aide, Assistant Teacher, and Lead Teacher, to serve licensed childcare centers and private preschools across the Twin Cities Metro. Whether you are just starting out or you are an experienced classroom leader, we have a role that fits your credentials and your schedule.
Starting pay is $17.00 - $21.00/hour based on your Minnesota Rule 3 qualification level and verified experience. This is flexible, meaningful work with a team that genuinely invests in the people it hires.
- Step into assigned classrooms and provide dependable care and instruction for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years
- Implement existing lesson plans, maintain classroom routines, and support daily schedules as established by the permanent teacher
- Supervise children and ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment at all times
- Assist with daily routines including meals, transitions, rest periods, and age-appropriate activities
- Engage children in play-based and educational activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Complete required classroom documentation, attendance, and checklists as directed
- Communicate professionally with center staff, lead teachers, and TFT management
- Serve as a mandated reporter under Minnesota law and follow all Minnesota DHS Rule 3 compliance standards
- Meets Minnesota DHS Rule 3 requirements at the Aide, Assistant Teacher, or Lead Teacher level
- Ability to step into unfamiliar classroom environments quickly and maintain professionalism and consistency
- Strong communication skills with children, classroom staff, and center leadership
- Dependable, punctual, and able to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Reliable transportation to travel to partner centers across the Twin Cities Metro (driver's license preferred)
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and the well-being of young children
- Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS background study
- 18 or older
