Position SummaryService excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Partnership is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members with both internal and external partners. Carry out patient care tasks and medical orders as delegated by physicians, APPs or other health care personnel following the Care Model Process.
PositionResponsibilities
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Conducts pre-visit planning, visit process, and other Care Model Process workflows.
- Performs accurate and timely charting to support patient care and service.
- Obtains health history information; obtains accurate vital signs, recognizes and reports variances.
- Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting.
- Accurately documents observations, actions and patient outcomes in EMR.
- Identifies patient education needs, provides instruction and documents orders appropriately.
- Stocks and cleans examination rooms between patients and at the end of session.
- Sterilizes/cleans equipment and instruments.
- Monitors and requests supplies to ensure proper inventory and avoid interruption in service.
- Complies with applicable legislation such as OSHA and infection control standards.
- Assists in orientation and training of new personnel as assigned to ensure procedures are understood and followed.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Participates actively in self‑development and educational activities.
- Complies with Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures and standing orders.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, holding themselves accountable.
- Greet patients with a warm welcome and completes interactions with a warm closure.
- Collaborates in patient care hand‑offs, ensuring patient comfort and safety and continuity of care.

This schedule consists of 12‑hour and 9‑hour shifts and every 3rd weekend.
Required Qualifications- LPN (Current MN License)
- CMA (Current AAMA Certificate)
- RMA (Current AMT Certificate)
- Medical Assistant (Non‑Certified completion of an accredited medical assistant program such as CAAHEP, ABHES)
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT license.
- CPR Certification required and maintained.
- Organizes effectively.
- Establishes priorities.
- Understands regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
- Knows medical equipment and instruments for patient care.
- Knows common safety hazards and universal precautions to establish safe working conditions.
- Can maintain records, write reports and respond to correspondence.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Maintains effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Can react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Can interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Communicates clearly.
- Works quickly under pressure.
- Works productively as a team player.
