Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration

ISD 728 is seeking a Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration to provide support to the Human Resources department in a manner which will ensure the department will function effectively and properly. The Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration performs a variety of confidential and complex administrative duties in support of all aspects of Human Resources using the designated processes, systems, and tools relevant to the employment life cycle and the administration of various employee benefit and retirement programs.
The Confidential Human Resource Representative and Benefits Administration provides input and support for contract negotiations, and functions as the receptionist as needed.

Minimum qualifications:
- Three (3) years' experience in an office setting AND High School Diploma or GED OR Two (2) years' experience in an office setting AND Associate's Degree OR One (1) year experience in an office setting AND Bachelor's Degree
Highly preferred:
Experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. Experience in Human Resources and/or Benefits. Degree in Human Resources or related discipline.
Skills and abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers to aid in satisfying customer requirements
- Ability to accurately proofread materials
- Detail-oriented and have excellent computer skills (i.e., MS Office Suite) and the ability to learn new computer program applications quickly
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work activities effectively
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to deal tactfully and effectively in person, over the telephone, or via computer
- Basic mathematical and general office skills, including the ability to safely and efficiently operate office equipment; ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong; the ability to recognize and respond to problems
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules
- Ability to interpret written and oral instructions and understand abstract and concrete ideas and variables
- Ability to switch easily between tasks or focus attention on numerous activities or things at the same time
- Ability to maintain and preserve strict confidentiality
- Ability to set and meet deadlines; ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; frequent exercise of independent judgment and discretion
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other people
Working conditions:
Work is performed in an office environment with moderate noise levels and multiple interruptions. Work involves continuous contacts and interactions with the public, staff, outside agencies, district administrators and others which can sometimes involve some disagreeable human interactions/conflicts.
