The City of Elk River is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to maintain City facilities, mechanical systems, equipment, and grounds. This is a full-time position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with adjusted summer hours. Responsibilities include HVAC and building systems maintenance, general repairs, groundskeeping, snow removal, and facility upkeep.
Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Minnesota Special Boiler’s License
- basic computer skills
- one year of building maintenance or related experience
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- be available to respond to alarms and emergencies outside regular work hours
- Class B CDL
- supervisory experience
- experience with computerized climate controls
- experience working with HVAC contractors to troubleshoot
