About the Role
Seeking a hands‑on Lab Lead in our cannabis processing lab. The candidate is comfortable on the floor running extraction and distillation, follows SOPs closely, and keeps accurate records.
Responsibilities- Run day‑to‑day lab processes, including ethanol extraction, winterization, filtration, and solvent recovery.
- Operate wiped film and short path distillation systems to produce distillate per SOP.
- Execute formulation and production of finished goods, including vape carts, edibles, tablets, tinctures, balms, and oral solutions.
- Follow SOPs accurately and consistently across all extraction, distillation, and formulation processes.
- Enter and maintain accurate batch records, equipment logs, and METRC/seed‑to‑sale data.
- Perform routine calibration checks, and basic maintenance on lab equipment.
- Ensure a clean lab environment is maintained at all times.
- Follow lab safety protocols, including ethanol handling, C1D2 requirements, and PPE use.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
- 1+ years of hands‑on experience in cannabis, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food‑grade lab or production environment.
- Hands‑on experience with ethanol extraction, distillation, or formulation preferred; willingness to learn on the job.
- Comfortable with data entry and basic computer use; familiarity with METRC or other seed‑to‑sale systems a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently as well as on a team.
- Must be 21+ and able to pass a state‑required background check for cannabis industry employment.
- Compensation: $26.50/hour.
- Benefits: medical, dental and vision insurance after 90 days of employment.
- 8 paid holidays.
- 11.5 days of accrued PTO in your first year.
