Material Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in Electronic Manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Material Specialist to join their team. As a Material Specialist, you will be an essential part of the operations team supporting efficient material handling and inventory management. Location: Elk River, MN

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Position Type: 9-12 Month Contract

Shift: 7:00AM - 3:00PM

• Perform established materials-related procedures to ensure smooth handling from receiving to shipment of goods.
• Verify the usability of received goods and accurately count shipments using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Fill shop orders, shippers, and other requests accurately and promptly.
• Handle materials with care, utilizing proper storage and shelving techniques.
• Enter and maintain data accurately in various systems, ensuring inventory records are precise and up-to-date.

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• Normal vision, hearing, and dexterity suitable for the role.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, or maneuver up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand throughout the workday.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, suppliers, and team members.
