Responsible for providing meals and maintaining standards of kitchen cleanliness. Meets meal schedules, serving proper quality and quantity of food. Prepares all meals in a safe, respectful, resident-centered manner.

• 5:30am - 2pm
• Full Time, working 80 Hours per pay period
• Must be available to work every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday.

• Prepares all food according to the menu in a safe, sanitary manner.
• Insures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods according to standardized recipes.
• Prepares food in a timely manner at specified times.
• Follows departmental procedures and policies, including: dress code, sanitation, safety, and cleaning schedules.
• Follows proper cleaning procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
• Insures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated.
• Oversees proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
• Assist in serving meals and serves food according to portion control standards.
• Coordinates work of Dietary Aides and volunteers along with Resident Assistants to insure meals are timely and enjoyable.
• Assists with mopping kitchen floor and vacuums designated area. Properly disposes of refuse.
• Assumes responsibility for kitchen operations and handles all situations in the kitchen according to policy, when Dietary Supervisor is not available. This includes: ordering supplies, receiving and signing in the supplies, along with storing them.
• Assist in providing a dignified, respectful, resident-centered environment for residents.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• One to two years quantity experience required.
• Must be able to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Excellent verbal and written (read, write) communication skills.
• Self-motivated, ability to prioritize.
• Maintains good attendance and punctuality.
