Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Social Worker for a maternity leave coverage from August 24th through December 23rd. This full-time position offers the chance to make a positive impact within a dynamic educational environment. Workdays begin at 7:15 AM and are structured as standard 8-hour days. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, providing targeted support and guidance to help each child thrive both socially and academically.

Key Qualifications & Desired

Experience:
  • Valid licensure and credentials to practice as a School Social Worker
  • Prior experience in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and case management principles
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff
  • Organizational abilities to manage documentation and student records with attention to detail
  • Empathy, adaptability, and a student-centered approach to problem solving
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students on your caseload
  • Develop and implement intervention plans tailored to diverse needs
  • Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and families to foster a safe, inclusive school climate
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
  • Conduct assessments and support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as appropriate
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development
