Senior Accountant
Location: Elkhart, Indiana (Fully Onsite)
Salary Range: $60,000 – $75,000 annually (based on experience)
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Elkhart, Indiana. This is a fully onsite role requiring a self‑motivated professional with strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of hands‑on accounting experience and a deep understanding of full‑cycle accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities- Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable (Full‑Cycle)
- Manage full‑scale AP and AR processes from start to finish
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments
- Generate and distribute customer invoices
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Cash Management & General Ledger
- Post and reconcile cash receipts and deposits
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of debits and credits
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes
- Fleet Maintenance & Insurance Administration
- Track fleet maintenance schedules and related expenses
- Coordinate vehicle insurance coverage, renewals, and claims
- Maintain accurate records for fleet assets and associated costs
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare financial reports as requested by management
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, debits and credits
- Proven experience managing full‑cycle AP/AR
- Experience handling fleet maintenance tracking and insurance administration preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Self‑starter with a high level of accountability
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Professional and dependable
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
