Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our accounting and finance operations. This role will be responsible for core accounting functions including cash application, credit and collections, bank reconciliations, invoicing, margin analysis, and month‑end close.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, improving processes, and digging into financial data to identify issues and drive solutions, while working in a stable, team‑oriented environment that values both performance and work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply daily customer payments and manage cash application processes
  • Support credit and collections, including proactive resolution of customer account issues
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist with customer invoicing and billing accuracy
  • Conduct margin review and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Participate in month‑end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and track capital expenditures (Cap Ex) and fixed assets
  • Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with financial reporting
  • Perform other general accounting duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience in accounting or finance in lieu of a degree)
  • 1–5+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP / Great Plains preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
