Cost Accountant

Location: Elkhart, IN

• Partner with accounting and operations teams to improve costing accuracy and manufacturing performance.

• Calculate and maintain standard costs for manufactured products, including assisting with the company's ongoing standard cost update.
• Analyze purchasing, production, and warehouse variances, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and distribute manufacturing reports to support operational and financial decision-making.
• Assist with month-end close, inventory analysis, reconciliations, and other cost accounting activities.
• Partner with operations to improve inventory accuracy, costing processes, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and special projects as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory accounting, and manufacturing reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across accounting and operations teams.

Annual Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
