We are looking for an Accountability Contractor to provide specialized support for accountability projects, including cohort management, audit processes, and federal/state reporting. This position will be part-time and remote for a 6–12 month contract.
Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.
What You'll Do- Provide technical support on accountability projects, including cohort management, audit processes, and federal/state reporting
- Support timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution
- Compile, verify, and analyze student- and school-level data for federal and state accountability calculations
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, document findings, and support audit windows
- Review mandatory and graduation rate audit submissions, ensure documentation aligns with IDOE requirements, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records
- Serve as a liaison between the Office of Accountability and schools, vendors, and internal teams
- Address complex inquiries, provide guidance on documentation and accountability rules, and draft communications for stakeholders
- Provide expert guidance on K–12 accountability model design and implementation, ESSA amendments, and audit methodologies
- Conduct technical reviews and assist in preparing implementation tools and resources
- Participate in vendor evaluation and scoring committees, contributing specialist insights to procurement and selection processes
- Comprehensive technical reports and data analyses
- Audit result files and compliance documentation
- Stakeholder communication logs and resolution summaries
- Technical review notes and recommendations for state/federal models
- Vendor evaluation rubrics and committee participation records
- Advisory memoranda for ESSA amendments
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in project management, process improvement, and stakeholder coordination
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with SQL a plus
Preferred:
- Background in Indiana State and Federal Accountability measures
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
- Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
$80 per hour
The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
