Griffen Plumbing and Heating, LLC is looking for a Service Dispatcher who will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the Service Department by scheduling and dispatching technicians, communicating with customers, and maintaining accurate service information in Build Ops. This position plays a key role in keeping service calls organized, technicians informed, and customers updated.
Key Responsibilities- Scheduling & Dispatch
:
Maintain the daily service schedule, assign and dispatch technicians to service calls, coordinate schedule changes, and monitor technician availability throughout the day. - Customer Communication: Receive service requests, gather necessary job information, schedule appointments, and communicate arrival times, delays, or scheduling changes to customers.
- Build Ops Management
:
Create and update service calls and work orders, maintain accurate customer and job information, update work order statuses, and keep the dispatch calendar current. - Technician Coordination
:
Communicate job details and schedule changes to technicians, monitor job progress, and assist technicians with information needed to complete service calls. - Service Call Follow-Up
:
Monitor open and pending service calls, identify calls requiring additional work or follow-up, and help ensure outstanding items continue moving toward completion. - Preventative Maintenance Scheduling
:
Assist with scheduling preventative-maintenance work and monitoring upcoming and overdue PM services.
The Service Dispatcher must be highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where schedules can change throughout the day. Strong communication, attention to detail, customer service, and follow-through are essential. The position requires someone who can anticipate scheduling needs, address issues as they arise, and keep technicians, customers, and management informed.
- Pay Range: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience
