About the RoleAs a Tire Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance by expertly installing, repairing, and maintaining tires on a wide range of vehicles. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and safety by providing reliable tire services that meet industry standards. You will be responsible for diagnosing tire-related issues, recommending appropriate solutions, and performing services efficiently to minimize vehicle downtime.
This role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure quality workmanship. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the overall operational success of the service center and the trust customers place in our services.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy tires and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Previous experience as a tire technician or in a related automotive service role.
- Certification from a recognized automotive or tire industry organization.
- Knowledge of tire brands, types, and specifications.
- Experience using computerized tire balancing and alignment machines.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Inspect tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation to determine service needs.
- Mount, dismount, balance, and align tires using specialized equipment and tools.
- Perform tire repairs such as patching punctures and replacing valve stems.
- Assist customers by explaining tire conditions, recommending services, and answering questions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines and company policies.
- Keep accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service delivery.
The required skills such as mechanical aptitude and attention to detail are essential for accurately diagnosing tire issues and performing precise installations and repairs. Physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy equipment ensure that daily tasks are completed safely and efficiently. Preferred skills like certification and experience with computerized equipment enhance the technician's ability to deliver high-quality service and adapt to advanced technologies.
