JOB SUMMARYCashiers support Riverview Softball Complex operations by assisting with admissions, concessions, and guest services. This role includes accurate cash handling, customer service, and maintaining cleanliness of concession, admissions, and public areas to ensure a safe and welcoming environment during events and tournaments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with admissions and concession operations, including ticket sales, point-of-sale transactions, and inventory awareness of concession supplies.
- Complete transactions for admissions and concession counters accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly, welcoming, and professional environment.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with other staff members and supervisors to support smooth operations.
- Assist with routine cleaning and sanitation of concession areas, admissions spaces, and surrounding public areas of the facility.
- Must be at least 15 years old
- First aid training and certification preferred.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Ability to work with people and calm/deescalate tense situations when necessary.
- Must be able to effectively prioritize daily work functions.
- Must have the ability and history of remaining calm and rational when confronted with stressful or volatile situations.
- Must have a positive demeanor when in contact with the public.
Work environment is generally performed in an indoor and outdoor setting. NIBCO Cashiers and Concessions workers will typically work evening hours and weekends. Occasionally hours will also be worked during the week and holidays for rentals and programs. The park is open from May to September so frequent exposure to warm temperatures should be expected.
POST OFFER TESTING REQUIRED- The City of Elkhart is a Drug Free Workplace. Therefore, successfully passing a post offer drug screen is required (random drug testing may be conducted after employment).
