ResponsibilitiesRequired functions, skills, and duties for all positions include the following:
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use a calculator).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone communication skills to take and process orders.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Operate all store equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare products.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Work conditions may include exposure to adverse weather, varying temperatures, fumes, cornmeal dust, confined spaces, hot surfaces, and sharp edges.
- Physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, squatting, reaching, and manual handling as described below.
- Ability to speak, hear, and understand verbal communication on telephone and in person.
- Near and mid‑range vision used for most in‑store tasks; depth perception necessary.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces; far vision and night vision needed for delivery personnel.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, analyze data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Must stand for most tasks; walk on ceramic tile, concrete, or linoleum; work surfaces height between 36" and 48".
- Walking may be required for short distances and durations; delivery personnel must travel between store and customer vehicles.
- Sitting is required for paperwork and driving.
- Lifting includes bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds; stacking onto shelves up to 72" high.
- Carrying includes dough trays (≈12 lbs), cases of products up to 25 lbs, and prepped items from walk‑in cooler to make‑line.
- Pushing and pulling may be required to move trays or products on dollies or trash cans.
- Climbing may be required to navigate stairs or ladders for maintenance.
- Bending, crouching, and squatting performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
- Reaching performed continuously; forward bending at the pizza assembly station; reaching above 72" to turn on/off oven, heat lamp, or television controls.
- Eye‑hand coordination essential; use of hands continuous; shaping pizza dough requires frequent use of forearms and wrists; manipulating pizza peel when removing pizza from oven.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be willing and able to work all stations in‑store, such as making menu items, assisting customers on the phone and in‑store, and expediting orders from the cut table.
