Assistant Controller

Location: Elkhart, Indiana
Compensation: $95,000 – $110,000 base salary + 5% bonus
Schedule: Full-Time | Fully Onsite

We are seeking a high-performing Assistant Controller to join our finance team in Elkhart, Indiana. This fully onsite role is ideal for an accounting professional with progressive experience who is ready to take on broader responsibility in month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance, with future growth and relocation opportunities.

• Support and manage full month-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and account analysis.

• Prepare and review internal and external financial statements and management reports.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.

• Assist with audits, including preparation of schedules, documentation, and auditor support.

• Partner with the Controller to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and close timelines.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.

• Maintain strong internal controls and assist with documentation and compliance initiatives.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• Up to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility.

• Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance.

• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal control environments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.

• Ability and willingness to relocate in the future as part of long-term career growth.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of an onsite team.
