Grand Design RV – Service Shop Parts Advisor

Grand Design is currently sourcing a Service Shop Parts Advisor to join our team. As a Grand Design team member in this role, you will work with the service department to ensure proper parts ordering is achieved.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Order all necessary parts for shop use, repairs noted on the work orders and part requests.
  • Inspect incoming parts for accuracy and damage that have been ordered for the service shop.
  • Order tools and materials for storage room.
  • Pull and provide all prints for all build‑up required parts.
  • Work with purchasing agents to secure part numbers and parts.
  • Review open orders to ensure orders are completed and billed in a timely manner.
  • Process service shop month‑end reports.
  • Maintain MSDS with all new necessary incoming materials and labels for containers available.
  • Process claims with pricing for parts and labor and VCBs.
  • Bill out sales orders once parts have been received.
  • Walk units for part orders and estimates.
  • Deliver parts that arrive to technicians.
  • Set up new technicians with tools, supplies, decals, books, keys.
  • Request new part set‑ups from purchasing.
  • Assist with the Mobile Support Coordinator responsibilities when the Mobile Support Coordinator is out.
  • Work with outsource to acquire needed parts.
  • Provide invoicing for inventory.
  • Add lines to work orders.
  • Pull prints for technicians.
  • Order tools/parts for mobile trucks and trailers.
  • Attach all camera photos in files or forward as directed.
  • Sign for incoming parts from tool crib when tool crib employee is out.
  • Must be able to use the BOM and MRP reports to ensure correct parts are ordered.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Parts experience a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years in the RV industry.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work early hours with flexible schedule.
  • Office sitting and standing environment.
  • Use of keyboard/computer.
