In a nutshell, our Extrusion Operators are responsible for operating an extrusion machine in accordance with established procedures/guidelines and customer requirements. The ideal person will be a team player with a drive to succeed and a willingness to help others. We are a company that takes pride in satisfying our customers, so candidates should be prepared to support our efforts with overtime work as needed.

Job Responsibilities
*** Produce quality parts; inspecting and approving profiles to ensure they meet all manufacturing requirements.
* Inspect the quality of materials and alert the Production Supervisor or appropriate personnel of material issues and/or failures immediately.
* Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
* Inspect the quality of the machinery and report equipment failures to the Maintenance Department.
* Ensure that all required shift paperwork is accurate and complete.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
** Required Qualifications
*** Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment.
* Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift, which may include: bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to read a work order, use a tape measure, and preferred caliper/micrometer experience.
** Preferred Skills and Experience
*** High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Prior extrusion experience is a plus but not required.
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times.
* Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize work based on business needs.
