Material Handler

Job Overview

Boyd Corporation is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Material Handler. The role blends intellectual challenge with physical tasks in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Operate a forklift safely around people, warehouse racking, and production equipment.
• Plan and complete loading and unloading tasks ahead of schedule.
• Pull, assemble, and stage skids and material for the production lines as needed.
• Supply packaging supplies and raw materials to the end of the production lines.
• Use a handheld scanner to add, remove, move, or consume product and raw material to maintain accurate company systems.
• Prepare skids for warehouse storage using small hand tools.
• Transfer skids, ranging from 4 ft. to 20 ft. long, to appropriate locations without damage.
• Weigh product between production orders when required.
• Move peripheral production equipment safely under guidance of team members and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Prior forklift experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Capability to stand for an 8‑hour shift, including bending, twisting, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of common material handling techniques.
• Previous manufacturing experience desired.
