PLC Technician
We are seeking a skilled 2nd shift Controls/PLC Technician who will play a vital role in maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of industrial equipment. This includes band saws, cut-off saws, horizontal contour cutters, laser cutters, presses, slitters, grinders, glue machines, rollers, conveyors, robotics, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to read and interpret ladder logic, blueprints, and schematics, and will be adept at manipulating and editing PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret ladder logic for troubleshooting and editing PLCs.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of industrial equipment including band saws, laser cutters, and up to 20-ton presses.
- Work with robotics such as ABB, Fanuc, and Motoman.
- Handle electrical troubleshooting up to 480v 3-phase.
- Install new machinery and ensure proper electrical connections.
- Use volt meters and be knowledgeable in Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Utilize AutoCAD for updating and changing prints.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of industrial multi-craft maintenance experience.
- 5+ years of industrial electric experience up to 480v 3-phase.
- Expertise in reading and following ladder logic.
- Proficient in PLC troubleshooting and editing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with LOTO, new machine installation, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in using a tablet for logging jobs and a laptop for PLCs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to program and troubleshoot robots such as ABB, Motoman, and Fanuc.
- 3+ years of PLC programming experience with BOTH the person and Siemens.
- AutoCAD knowledge and experience.

Work Environment
Work in a clean, organized, and bright environment with machinery and piping all painted white. Be aware of a chemical smell in a specific area where foam ingredients are mixed. The role is 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, from 2pm to 10:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.88 - $44.55/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
