Lathe Machinist - 2nd Shift
We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Lathe Machinist to operate a complex Mill-Turn Lathe. This role involves performing full machine setups, making offsets and adjustments, reading G/M coding and blueprints, changing out tooling, and working with large, delicate pieces. You will also be responsible for conducting first part inspections, running metrology checks, and washing completed parts for packing. Utilizing an overhead crane to move parts is required.
Responsibilities
- Program using Mazatrol software if skilled.
- Setup and operate CNC Integrex (Mill-Turn - MAZAK).
- Read and interpret component prints or drawings.
- Use micrometers and calipers to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, and fixtures on machines.
- Maintain a tolerance of +/-.001.
- Perform an average of two setups per day.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of Lathe Machining experience.
- Ability to setup, change-out tooling, and make adjustments.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and understanding G & M code.
- Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and gauge pins.
- Ability to lift 35+ pounds regularly.
- Experience in job shop machining with multiple setups/change-outs per day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Overhead crane/hoist experience.
- Programming knowledge in G & M Code.
- Ownership of personal measuring tools.
- Desire to learn and continue professional growth.
- Military background is a plus.

Work Environment
The work environment is a small, family-owned tool and die shop. You will work the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 pm to 12:00 am. The role offers a 10% shift premium.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
