Engineering Technician

Role Description

The Engineering Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Elkhart, IN. This role supports engineering and manufacturing operations through hands‑on testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with product and process evaluations, setting up and operating test equipment, conducting measurements, and recording data for analysis. The Engineering Technician collaborates with engineers and production staff to identify issues, implement improvements, and help maintain quality and safety standards on the manufacturing floor.

The role also involves preparing reports, maintaining equipment, and following established procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for data collection, interpretation, and problem‑solving.
• Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for collaborating with engineering, production, and quality teams.
• Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, or process issues.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with Test Equipment and, where applicable, Soldering for technical support and repair tasks.
• Relevant technical training or an associate degree in engineering technology, manufacturing, or a related field is beneficial.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, especially metal fabrication or automotive/trailer components, is a plus.
• Ability to read technical drawings, follow safety protocols, and work efficiently in a fast‑paced production setting is preferred.
