spherion is looks for Production Associates for a seat belt manufacturer in Elkhart, IN!
The production Associate is responsible for the precise mechanical assembly, inspection, and packaging of safety restraints used in commercial, automotive, or industrial applications.
2nd shift: 3:30pm-2:00am (Monday through Thursday) OT possible on Fridays
Pay: $16/hr + $1/hr w/perfect attendance (paid weekly)
Responsibilities- Mechanical Assembly:
Assemble structural components, brackets, straps, and shielding mechanisms according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). - Equipment Operation:
Safely operate pneumatic hand tools, torque wrenches, riveting equipment, and light automated machinery to secure restraint hardware. - Packing orders and finished good for shipment.
- Quality Control:
Conduct meticulous visual and dimensional inspections of finished restraints to check for defects, material discrepancies, or alignment issues before they advance to packaging. - Component Tracking:
Maintain accurate production logs, documenting completed units, material usage, and any component deviations from design specifications. - Safety & Compliance:
Strict adherence to factory safety protocols, protective gear rules, and OSHA standards to maintain a clean, zero-incident working environment.
Working hours:
3:30 PM - 2:00 AM
- Must be able to work at consistent pace. The work can be fast paced but is very light manufacturing.
- Entry level position/ willing to train
- Familiarity with tools and assembly process
