A prominent organization in the chemical manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations within a chemical production environment. This role will oversee shift production activities, drive safety and quality, optimize processes, and lead teams to achieve operational, productivity, and continuous improvement goals.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent manufacturing performance.
  • Manage, coach, and develop production personnel while establishing clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, and performance.
  • Monitor production processes, KPIs, schedules, and costs to identify opportunities for efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and other functions to resolve operational issues and improve process reliability and plant performance.
  • Ensure adherence to manufacturing procedures, safety requirements, quality standards, and regulatory/environmental requirements within a chemical manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related technical field required.
  • 5–10+ years of overall manufacturing experience, preferably within chemical, process, specialty chemical, or other industrial manufacturing.
  • 2–3+ years of production management or production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading production teams, managing KPIs, improving processes, and driving safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, and continuous improvement skills; experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
