Job Description

This role operates grinding equipment in a brass foundry environment, performing heavy, hands‑on production work while following strict safety procedures. You will work on a steady 1st shift schedule, using a purified air respirator mask, handling brass components, and supporting consistent, high-volume output in a hot, heavy, and dirty environment.

• Operate grinding, deburring, and metal finishing equipment to process brass pieces according to production specifications.
• Wear a purified air respirator (pappers full mask) for the entire shift while working in the foundry.
• Stand on your feet for the full duration of the shift while performing machine operation and grinding tasks.
• Lift and move brass parts weighing 50–75 pounds frequently throughout the shift in a safe and controlled manner.
• Follow all OSHA and internal safety protocols related to lead dust exposure, including required protective equipment and hygiene procedures.
• Wear company‑provided uniforms and complete a full shower onsite at the end of every shift before leaving the facility.
• Participate in required blood draws every six months conducted by an onsite clinic to monitor exposure levels.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in a hot, heavy, and dirty foundry environment.
• Monitor machinery for proper operation, report issues promptly, and support basic troubleshooting when needed.
• Work 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 5:25 a.m. to 1:55 p.m., with additional hours during the week and on Saturdays as needed.
• Contribute to production goals by working overtime as required, averaging approximately 50–55 hours per week.
• Collaborate with coworkers and follow direction from supervisors to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.

• Ability to wear a purified air respirator (pappers full mask) continuously for the entire shift.
• Ability to stand for the full duration of a 1st shift schedule in a production environment.
• Ability to lift and carry 50–75 pounds frequently throughout the shift in a safe manner.
• Willingness to wear company-provided uniforms during each shift.
• Willingness to shower onsite at the end of every shift prior to leaving the facility.
• Willingness to participate in blood draws every six months performed by an onsite clinic.
• Comfort working in a hot, heavy, and dirty foundry environment that can reach temperatures up to approximately 90 degrees in mid-summer.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work a consistent 1st shift schedule with overtime as needed.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and maintain positive working relationships.

• Experience with grinding, deburring, or metal finishing processes in a manufacturing or foundry setting.
• Prior machine operating experience in an industrial environment.
• Comfort working around brass and understanding of basic safety practices related to metal grinding and dust exposure.
• Stable work history with consistent tenure and positive performance in previous roles.
