Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 4am to 4pm

The Laser Operator is responsible for all activities on the shift in a fabrication/metal shop facility . Employees must follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

• Set up of equipment, perform production work, help instruct and train personnel within the department or as instructed.
• Make suggestions to help resolve problems.
• Ensure all quality, quantity, and safety standards are met and/or exceeded.
• Perform quality checks per requirements;
• Package parts;
• Perform material handling functions;
• Read and understand work instructions
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Use small hand-held tools to make minor adjustments to parts
• Read and understand measurement devices
• Perform other associated job duties as needed

• Must be able to use small hand-held tools, grinders, sanders, etc.
• Must be able to accurately complete all required Modineer production system documentation such as production reports, inspection reports, etc.
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Ability to read calipers, digital micrometers and indicators is a plus, but is not required.

The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
